Same problem.. touch screen seems not to work...

My sister bought a SEK850i last October 2008 from KSA.. she sent it to me via package.. and it worked well till this week... i turned the phone on.. for it was drained.. when the batt is fully charged.. i turned it on.. and SE logo appears.. and ENTER PIN appears.. and when im about to enter the FIRST number of the PIN.. which is "5", the screen keeps blacking out.. i also tried entering other number except for 5.. and gives the same problem..
i also tried to remove the memory card.. guess what.. same problem too ^^.. when i removed the SIMCARD.. and the memory.. it plays the DEMO video good.. i mean.. even if i press other keys.. it doesnt black out..

i am thinking of returning it to KSA.. to where it was bought but i think it would be a waste of time and cash..

if anyone has any idea on how to fix this.. pls do reply..
hope u could help me out... any help would be appreciated... thnx..

I have a 50" Vizio Flat screen TV and I got it as a housewarming gift, from my sister last November and now it has died. Nothing works on it, what can be done to resolve this issue?

With proof of purchase date, it will be possible to have the unit repaired or replaced under warranty. However, it is normally the manufacturer's discretion as to which option it will use. Manufacturers do not normally simply replace units. It will be up to you to prove purchase date, obtain a warranty return number (RMA), and you will have to ship the unit to either the manufacturer's repair facility or deliver it to a local authorized repair facility at your cost. The manufacturer will then determine if the failure is covered by warranty (some failures are not), and then repair or replace the unit if warranted. If not covered, they will repair at cost to you or return the defective device, whichever you request. Ensure that when you ship the unit, it is in proper packaging and insured for damage, since any damage that occurs before it reaches the manufacturer in shipping will not be warranted. Take photos of the unit before packaging and after packaging and make sure that you have the model and serial numbers recorded to ensure that if they repair or return the defective set to you that you get the same one you sent. They can, however, in many cases, replace the device with a refurbished unit that will have either a 90 day warranty or will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty, whichever is longer. A refurbished device may not be the original model you purchased, but normally will be of equal or greater value to the one originally sent.

None of the touch buttons work. Fans, volume, speed, incline etc etc. The only two buttons that work are incline buttons 6 & 7. Power comes on and key turns on and off though. Can anyone advise??

sorry but i dont have a solution for you!! i bought the t9ci back in nov of 2008, like you none of the buttons worked had to wait till march of 09 for nordictrack to send me a reprogram card, which did not fix the problem. i then recieved a new console, in april 09, which stopped working in feb 10. a service tech came out and had no clue, so the sent another new console which did not work. in march 10 they sent a whole brand new treadmill, and when i got on it last week the console was not working once again!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope you dont have as many problems as i did

I bought my daughter an LG Cookie phone about 6 months ago and now the touch screen is **** and doesn't work, the phone is very difficult to use.. don't have the original packaging.. bought from Argos.....

replace the digitalizer(the touch screen) . maybe she dropped it or used the phone with wet hands and that will cause the touch screen to stop work.

It gets stuck on the windows mobile screen

You have to execute a "hard reset". The exact method depends on the exact type of HTC phone you have. You should Google for "HTC Touch <your exact phone type> hard reset" and follow those instructions.

Looking at the picture you have a HTC Touch P3450, in which case you can instructions at: http://blog.ryjones.org/2008/01/14/htc-touch-hard-reset/

Make sure you follow the instructions properly. When it still doesn't boot up, you can always perform a firmware upgrade/reset, that's almost guaranteed to work, but is complicated and might break your warranty (depending on wether you bought the device yourself or got it as part of a package deal from your provider).

After turning it on, there is no display on the screen. When you operate the zoom nothing happens

If you can still work the controls from the LCD screen and see images from previous recorded tapes, but NOT see any current image thru either the LCD screen or thru the viewfinder then its a faulty CCD Image Sensor. Sony had a bad production run of the sensor chip from 2002 to 2004 affecting products from 2002 till who knows when. This affected other camera manufacturers too since they bought their sensors from Sony. A Sony "service advisory" in October 2005 would fix for "free" anybody coming forward with the problem. This freebie ended in October 2007. Mine went just last month. Cost to fix by Sony...$160 + shipping. There are quite a few non-working handycams on EBAY for an average of $15. Seems to me this was big enough to be an Official Recall.

Touch Screen

Just like yours, my DS's touch screen kicked the bucket last october. I went and traded my broken DS in at gamestop and got another one bc nintendo wouldn't replace it for me. I would recommend the same to you =).

Radio Shack sells a blister-carded package of two knobs that will work great. Their part number is 274-407. I had the exact same problem and this solved it perfectly. I paid $1.99 for two knobs (October 2008). Easy, simple and inexpensive!
