The mechanic should check the cooling system.Check the thermostat, the radiator ,the radiator fan, the radiator cooling fins ,the water pump and the water jacket. The thermostat is the one that indicates the water temperature as well as help cooling the water too.the radiator you should replace water after flashing it. The radiator fan and the pulley should be check if worn out then repair or replace .the cooling fins give big help to the radiator to cool water going to the radiator .That's why it should be check and if worn out repair or replace .The water pump is the one that makes the water rotate to the entire engine so that water will be cool when it reached the radiator .That is why it should be check if it is stock or worn out then repair or replace .the water jacket is the one that holds the water so that it will not leak or flow .It also have lock ring that makes the jacket tight and hold the jacket so that the water will not spill on the cooling system. Also don't forget to check for some leaks that can be found if there is then repair the leaks .These are the spare parts of the cooling system that should be repaired or be replace if they are worn out or destroyed so that the cooling system will be functioning to prevent over heat . Like wise you also have to check or see if the engine oil is dirty or diluted if so you should change your engine oil , these can also be a problem that could cause engine over heat.
