Question about ASUS A8V-E Deluxe Motherboard
Have a 2½ yr old system, ASUS A8V-E Deluxe with onboard sound card, running XP Pro. In the last month or so I thought my speakers had blown--the sound has become scratchy all the time with any music files and anything online. I purchased new speakers today but the sound issue is still there. Is it worth getting a new sound card or shd I have this diagnosed by a pro? I'm sure I could install a sound card but if that's not the problem don't know where else to look. I've been using pc's for years but still consider myself pretty much of a novice when it comes to hardware issues. Hope you can help! Thanks, Debbie
To the best of my knowledge this could be a sound card driver problem. Try updating your sound driver. If that doesn't work uninstall the driver and get the updated version on the net.
If your not sure how to do this come back and let me know.
