The manufacturers website has manuals in pdf format in their "support" section.

Here is the direct link to the file/manual.

New apartment with A honeywell ademco 4110xm. I connected power and got master code. I get CHECK 05 and ALARM 06. Typing the code and OFF disables the ALARM 06 error, but Check 05 remains. Any help?

It is telling you that a zone is not working properly or is open. Ex. door not shut, window not shut. Something moving in front of a motion sensor. Fin out what zone 5 is and that is your problem for arming. Could be a battery if this is a wireless system.

When arming doors/windows and motion, after the time delay and actually arms, the motions light goes off.. why only doors/windows arm and not motion too?

Is this alarm part of the original car or an add on? Some alarms have different zones that can be activated or deactivated depending on the preference of the owner. If it is aftermarket you will need the manual to execute a sequence to arm or unarm the motion detector zone. The motion detector could be faulty and the alarm is isolating that zone. Need more information to help you

I have an ADT security system, the DCS alarm panel lcd5501z panel bypass motion sensors will not reset. The door and window sensors work fine when the alarm is set. but the interior motion sensors stay...

I would power down the main cabinet for 1 min. And unplug the battery in the cabinet. Most of the time this cabinet ( panel ) is located in a closet and contains the main brains of the system. Sometimes there is also a reset on the motion but when used, it can put the motion in test mode. You can also check the batteries in the motion ( if its wireless) The first thing I would do is power down everything and disconnect the battery. This resets and works 90% of the time. You might need the key to get into the box.

If your motion detector act like a door it is because it has been program like a door, you need to go back to the program delete your sensor, and reprogram it with a group 17 , right now it's probably program as a group 13 ( instant)

Ademco motion detector false alarms

Aside from any sensitivity adjustments, after all a false alarm caused by falling objects, pets or juicy bugs is not a false alarm..it's an environmental mismatch of sensor to the area, some motion detector false alarms are caused by circuit faults, possibly during the install, where the wire terminals were turned too hard and twisted slightly and are not as solid as the manufacturer intended. This twisted terminal mount could cause false alarms when either the power circuit or the sensor circuit loses continuity. Intermittent power (caused by weak/loose/nicked/damaged wiring, a weak terminal on the board or power supply problems could cause annoying faults that are hard to trace. Diligence and a good eye to spot these problems and correct them will help you determine the cause of false alarms.

In the case of wireless devices, troubleshooting is usually limited to spotless battery contacts, good batteries and proper placement.

Alarm keeps going off at night especially in windy conditions!

If it's a windy day, whipping tree branches can also cause a false alarm. (motion alarm)
Cover the motion detector's sensor with a piece of cardboard so it won't be able to detect any movement at all. Move the cardboard slowly when you're sliding it over the sensor

GE Simon 3 Add or Change a Sensor to my system?

You need to use an installer code to add/remove sensors. Depending on what number of digits your alarm code is set for will determine the number for the intaller code. Look in the installer manual for the code. Then follow these steps:

Open the panel.
Key in installer coe
Select Add
Select Sensor/Remote
Activate the sensor you want to add. Some sensors have a button, some have to opened to activate.
Choose sensor name and group. Groups are listed in the manual. Basically, if you want the sensor to arm when the doors arm (such as for a window sensor or door sensor) put it in group 10 or 13. If it's a smoke sensor, group 26; motion detector, group 17 and keyfob, group 01.
Press done when finished and run the test to make sure the system is reading the sensor.
