Re: making a favourites list
Hi i hope this solution helps you and works for your sandisk too.. got it from a blog post who has the same concern with the sandisk... he actually contacted sandisk customer service (email) and this is what they replied to his email... The Sansa m200 series supports favorites and can be configured with customized playlists. Concerning Favorites: they can be created on the mp3 player itself. Set the player in Advanced mode (menu>settings>Advanced to ON). Once a song is playing, if you press and hold the center select button, it will say, 'Add to favorites' and have a check and a X. Select the check (default) and press the center button again. To remove it from the list, press and hold again; it will ask if you want to delete; again, select the check. This will remove it from the list only; however, the file physically remains on the mp3 player. To clear the entire list, go to menu>settings>playback>clear favorites.
Note: Each time the mp3 player is attached to the computer, even if nothing is added or removed, the favorites list is erased. Concerning Playlists: Playlists stay on the device even if connected to a computer or if the device content is changed.

I think it is actually Channel 7 causing the problem. I have the same TV and have noticed that Ch7 only drops off the Favourites list when 7 telecasts a program in Standard Definition (SD) on the High Definition (HD) channel 70. They usually seem to do this when broadcasting sporting events. You can check if they're broadcasting in SD on the HD channel 70 by pressing the "INFO" key (also labelled "<<", just above the "TEXT" key). The channel description will read "70 7 SD Digital" instead of "70 7 HD Digital". (You will also see this when you change to channel 70 during these times.) Every time they've done this, I've lost the 7 HD channel from my favourites list. If you re-program channel 70 into your favourites list while it's broadcasting in SD, it will disappear from the favourites list when 7 starts broadcasting a HD signal again.
I think I read somewhere that this happens because channel 7 isn't really transmitting a SD-resolution (576i) program on the HD channel, but instead just redirecting your TV to the SD channel's signal (Ch 7 on the tuner) - or something like that!
I haven't yet found a way to stop this from happening other than to not change to HD channel 70 when they're telecasting a SD program! I have to admit, it's annoying, but it's a minor glitch in what I believe is an otherwise outstanding TV.
I intend to email Network 7 about this problem. Maybe if the problem is their fault and enough people hassle them about it, they might do something to fix it!
