Question about Computers & Internet
I have "DELL VOSTRO A840" notebook, after full charge of battery it discharging very soon. What is the right procedure to charge and use of 'LI-ON" battery................Pleeeeeez suggest me as soon as possible.
Lithium-ion battery doesn't need to be discharged like older types, in my experience it likes to be kept full most of the time and discharged only occasionally.
Check power options. If you are not using the very lowest power options, you will get a lot less life on stand-alone battery than 'advertised'.
If you are using wireless, bluetooth, the cd/dvd drive a lot, and making the HDD and CPU work hard, these all use more power.
If it's a new computer but you are getting less than say 40 mins useful time while the computer is in continuous use on stand-alone battery, perhaps you could ask Dell?
