No power tried to install two 12" subs an wasn't getting an forgott where the blue amp wire whent an lost power to the cd player

there should be two blue wires. one solid blue and one with a white stripe. if i remember the solid should be antenna remote and the blue with white stripe is the amp remote turn on. if you are using the power antenna,it will turn off the amp when not in radio mode.

The only wires that should be going to the subs are the Speaker wire, The power, goes to the amp, Blue the remote wire should only go to the remote spot on the amp wich is usually labeled rem. and the ground all goes to the amp.

first off the amp gets power straight from the battery. the amp is used to power the subs. the subs are suppose to be connected to the amp only( never the speakers).

for the second part you mostlikely killed the wires. you should get some one to look at it and check the wires. thee speakers might need to be re-wired

Look at the enwood. I bet you have the remote wire hooked to the blue wire insted of the blue/white wire. The blue wire goes dad when you play a cd as it is for a power antenna. The blue/white wire is your amp turn on.

Now, if you do not have a blue/whie and only blue, then obviously that circuit in the radio is bad in whch case your only other option s are either connecting it to an accesory fuse or using a toggle switch connected to power.

The person(s) who hooked up your system made a boo boo. They wired your remote turn on lead to the power antenna lead instead of the amp turn on line (both are blue and easy to mix up). Thus when your radio is on it sends a signal to the amp and the amp turns on, but when you set to CD the signal goes away and your amp shuts down. Easy fix, just re-wire the amp turn on lead and the problem will be fixed.

You have the amp connected to the blue wire on the radio instead of the blue one with the white stripe. The blue one is the power antenna wire so when you switch to cd, it would close a power antenna. If you dont have a blue /white wire, you can hook it to the red 12v wire. Good Luck

What kind of car did you install this in? Did it have a factory radio in it? If I had to take a guess I would think that there is a factory amp that you may have hooked the blue wire from the alpine deck to. If this is the case when you switch to CD the alpine deck turns off the power to the power antenna lead(blue wire) and thus your factory amp. If this is the case hook the factory amp turn on to the blue and white wire and you should be good to go.

When you say you connected the blue and white wire to the amp power do you mean the remote turn on of the amp and not the terminal/wire marked battery or power? You should not be trying to power your amp with the blue and white wire. This wire is only for sending a signal(+12V) to the amp to turn itself on. the amp should have it own fused wire of appropriate gauge running directly to the batttery. Some more details on the installation would be helpful.

It shuts off because the remote turn-on wire to the amplifier is connected to the power antenna wire behind your head unit. The power antenna wire is only activated when the tuner is selected. You need to switch the remote wire to the blue/white wire from the head unit (currently you're using the blue wire). This is the true remote output, and will activate the amp whenever the head unit is powered on.

you would need rca cables, power wire, ground wire, and remote wire. it is easiest to just go to your local best buy or circuit city stores and buy the whole set in one package. rca's lead from your decks rca output jacks to your amp, remote wire leads from your decks wiring (blue remote wire that leads to your deck itself to give it remote) or any 12 volt source like where your fuses are located and it runs to the amp also, your power wire will lead from your battery to your amp, and your ground will need a good place somewhere in your car and be bolted or screwed to the frame of your car. this is how to intall your deck to your amp. i assume that you already know that wires will have to be under your carpet or kickboards and such however you run them. i think this covers the basics and i hope i have answered your question right, good luck
