Try using a laser head cleaning disk. Iyou can access the laser head, using an earbud soaked in meth. spirits or medical alcohol, gently wipe the laser lens (very gently)

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Please post more information. (computer make and model, when this started happening, what you might of done to make it stop starting up, if theres a battery that is very very dead, etc.) Some models have to have a semi-working battery in order to fire up, and some don't need it.

Won't load blue ray disc have upgraded to latest firmware and reset the player will play regular dvd but not blue ray, just started happening, used to play blue ray

The Laser Pickup Assembly is defective, to play blue ray it needs higher precision and velocity to produce the higher resolution, it is not cost effective for repair.

I put a regular dvd into my blu ray player but it will not play. the player just says load and when I push the play button nothing happens. I'm using an hdmi cable and my 42 i.nch widesreen sharp tv is set...

Assuming it will play regular DVD's I'd suggest you connect it by scart also and set your TV input to scart.

I don't think DVD's carry High Def. data, that being the case, your player may auto route the data via scart.

The player rejects the blu ray dics stating incompatable disc.

Have you upgraded the Blu-Ray software lately? I had to upgrade my older Panasonic 10A that would not play some DVDs. I upgrade it, and now I can play them all.

Bush television & DVD error message 'unknown disk'

Some units jusy won't play certain types of recorded DVD discs. I would transfer one to a DVD+R type and see what happens. Buy a good brand like Memorex.

Hope that helps...

Digital audio problems

Try using a different cable for starters, regular rca, another optical or coaxial. If the optical works, then its a cable problem. If the coaxial works(and another optical doesnt), then its a cable/jack problem. If the RCA works(and the rest don't), then its a problem with the digital output. Try blowing into the holes, and if nothing works and you can't find any other advice, contact Pioneer. Good luck
