You could have faulty RAM.
Try reseating the RAM module/s, if it still doesn't work, take the RAM modules to your friendly computer shop and get them to test them for you.

Black screen start up and nothing

If the laptop appears to be working other than the screen hook a monitor to the video output, if you get a picture on the monitor you can evaluate what is working, but if the symptom is the same the video graphics chip or the motherboard is the issue.

Nothing appear on screen. But the power button is lighting on and i can hear the fan at the back of the laptop. i tried removing the battery and tried again but still nothing appear on screen.

If the Hard drive LED is active and it appears that the computer is going through the boot up process then your screen if faulty, probably due to a faulty backlight controller. Try shining a small torch near the screen and see if you can make out any details on the screen. If so then the backlight needs to be repaired.

No light on screen

You may want to connect a monitor to your laptop and then turn it on and see if anything appears on your monitor. This will let you know that everything else is working on your laptop. If something does appear then turn off your laptop, disconnect the monitor and then turn on your laptop. If nothing comes on your laptop display then more than likely something is wrong with your it and it may need to be serviced.

Also remember that as a temporary solution you can still use your monitor and a USB keyboard until you get your laptop2.gif serivced.
