Not available no signal flashing remote does not work

I have a Samsung HLN 617 W and I turned it on today and it worked fine then later this evening we turned it on with the controls on the side of it because the remote would not work and the channels were going up and down and all over the place. I tried to change the input but was unsuccessful. I held the volume button down on the side of the tv and change the input and got the menu up. It would not function properly only letting me go down the menu even when pressing up left or right. bulb is new,color wheel is new. It just keeps switching back from no signal to not available. The remote does not turn it on or allow me to use anything but the light blinks on the tv showing it is recieving a signal from the remote. It will show a picture when it is surfing the channels and there is sound. Light from the bulb can be seen when looking at the back. Color wheel can also be seen spinning the colors.
Can someone please help me with this problem. This is a great tv.
