This is probably the motor going bad. The sensors wont cause this to happen. The start switch either, replacing all the sensors in the world wont make the motor be good again. But their is something you can do to try and make the motor last a while longer, their isn't any holes to oil the dryer motor so you must make some, using a 1/8th inch drill bit make a hole in either end of the motor where the bearings are (taking care not to hit the shaft), then add some hi temp oil such as zoom-oil, (dont use WD-40) and work the motor free as you can by hand. If this frees up the motor it may go a while longer. Also oil the rollers and check the slides to make sure they are not pinching and stalling the motor. If the motor can't reach top speed it will get hot, overload and stop.

Hello, I have a duet whirlpool dryer thats about 2 to 3 yrs old and it wont come on. Ive checked all the wires with a ohm meter and everything checked good. when I open the door the inside light comes on....

I suspect the thermal fuse may be open which will cause the dryer to not start. It is located and accessed by removing the lower panel. The fuse is available at
and is easily replaced. There is a picture of the part at above link for easy identification. Use coupon code 1050 for a discount on your order!

Whirlpool electric dryer ultimate care II - Won't start

Hi, make sure the breakers haven't tripped, and the motor may have tripped on internal over load. If this happened, let it set and cool down for awhile to see if it will start. Also, check the small door switch to make sure a screw didn't come loose as the will cause it to do nothing. Please keep me posted and safety first. Sincerely,

I have a whirlpool gold ultimate II electric dryer and would like to know how to remove the front and side panels to remove the lint on the inside.

Hello, If the lint filter is under the flap at the top lift the flap up and remove the 2 screws. Slide a putty knife under the lip between the top and the front panel about 3 inches from each end and push in the clips holding the top down. Lift the top up and look inside the machine either side and remove the 2 screws you see. now lift the front panel off. you now have access to inside the dryer :) Hope this helps! Mike

Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II Electric Dryer

Hi, there sould be a two piece door catch. One piece on the door and another on the front panel that the door closes to. Look at the piece on the door. You will probably find it is bad. You can buy just that piece and change it. I hope this helps. If I can assist you further please let me know.
