Question about Apple iBook G4 (Z0AZW13397068) PC Notebook
It depends on what protection you want, if you go to system prefrences then select security you options, if you leave your computer unattended then check (put the curser on and click) the "disable automatic log in" option and you can decide if the other options are good for you ,these are all in the general tab, the next tab is file vault, the header says it all, if you need this choose a password that is strong but do not forget it or your information is lost unless you have mates in the CIA! The last tab is firewall, the options are explained I usually dont bother and as yet there are no OSX mal ware known exceppt some minor problems with Office 07 (I think) You can get 3rd party anti virus but it seems pointless just now.

Tips for a great answer:
Mar 19, 2013 | Acer Computers & Internet
When you move the laptop, the hard drive protection kicks in and the read/write heads go into park position freezing the laptop for a fracture of second. Apparenlty this causing the sound to statter.
You can disable the hard drive protection for a while and see if it fixes the problem.
Also, try reducing the movement detection sensetivity in the hard drive protection utility.
