Bios Password for vpx Matrix 2250 Computer

I went to boot my Matrix 2250 after having been gone for 3 weeks, it is now asking for a password before anything even starts to load? (I assume a bios password, which I never set.) Where can I find the password or how do I reset it to nothing?

Cancel this request, you guys fixed it with a chat session. I did not realize I had two requests open.

Do you mean VPR Matrix 2250? Is it asking for a password to boot into Windows or before it even gets that far?

This is a very common problem that not many people know how to fix.

step 1. Open the side of your tower

step 2 look around and you should see a small flat battery (like a watch battery)

step 3 - Remove the battery and wait a few minutes and place it back in.

if it is a BIOS password it will have been reset now. ^_^

How to Boot From A Windows 7 Password Reset Disk?

Forgot Windows 7 password? It seems to be a universal iusse as widespread of Windows 7. To solve this problem, you can either buy a burned Windows password recovery CD on-line or burn such a password recovery disk withWindows 7 password reset software. But no matter which method you choose, you have to boot your locked computer from the password recovery disk. However, you will feel frustrated when you have little computer skill. Take these 2 methods as your reference when you encounter the similar problem.
Of course, firstly , you need to create a Windows 7 password reset disk, and then pay attention on how to boot from the Windows password reset disk .
Method OneInsert a burned Windows 7 password recovery CD in your locked computer boot the locked computer from the CD/DVD as follows:

1. Turn on or restart the locked computer, watch the screen for a message like "Press to http://www.passwordunlocker.enter SETUP "or something similar. Press this key as soon as you see the message to enter BIOS menu.
Note: The key pressed to enter BIOS is different based on manufacturers, but F2 or Delete are the most common keys
2. Use arrows to choose Boot on the taskbar, select Boot Device Priority and press Enter.

3. Set CD ROM to the first boot device according to the prompts on the right.

4. Press F10 to save and exit BIOS. You computer will restart with the changed BIOS settings

Method Two
If the method above doesn't work, you can also try to enter Boot Menu to boot the locked computer from the burned CD/DVD as follows:

1. Insert a Windows 7 password recovery CD in your locked computer.

2. Start the locked computer and immediately tap and keep tapping F8, ESC or other keys until the Boot Menu screen appears.

3. Select CD ROM as the first boot device and press Enter. After that, your computer will restart with changed bios settings.

PC users can not only set bios password for computer, but also set Windows logon password. If the BIOS is password protected, you need to clear or remove the BIOS password before you can enter BIOS to change boot order.
By the way, if you forgot Windows 7 password or Windows 7 password-protected, it is suggested to take Windows password recovery software to create a Windows password reset disk. Take Windows Password Unlocker for example, it takes you only 4 steps to burn a bootable CD/DVD or USB flash drive for Windows 7 password recovery in 5 minutes.
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Unlocker Professional in any availble PC
Step 2: Burn a Windows 7 Password Recovery CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
Step 3: Boot from the burned the Password Recovery CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
Step 4: Reset Windows 7 password under Windows PE.

I have a toshiba satellite pro 4300 series notebook and just after i boot up it asks me for a password.i think its the bios password because still after pressing F2 for boot menu, same thing happens. please...

This is the procedure for a desktop and I'm sure it will work for a laptop. Your CMOS holds the password in memory and this memory is backed up by a battery. Remove this battery, wait a minute or so and re-fit the battery. The password is gone. To save a lot of typing, have a read of this post [http://murfsgarage.cybertechhelp.com/cmos.htm ]

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password KeyDisk will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Keydisk - http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe

** I have downloaded this file myself from the link above and scanned it with microsoft one care, it came up clean **

Some Toshiba's can be convinced to bypass the startup BIOS password if you hold down the <LEFT-SHIFT> key while booting the system.

I entered my administrator bios password wrong 3

there are a few different ways to resolve this issue
1. call the manufacturer and ask if they have a reset or a way to get the password

2.look in the manual and see if your laptop has a jumper setting that will reset the bio (including the password)

3 just go to the manufacturers website and get the latest bios update and flash the bios

4 remove the cmos battery leave it out for literally a week (7days) then replace it (best if the computer is off this entire time)- this way it forgets whats saved in the bios

Hi,
If the system boots to a windows screen, then asks for a password, it's definitely NOT a bios password, but a windows operating system password. Either way, if we had it here at the shop, I could have it done in a few minutes; to bad you're not in Tulsa.
What makes you think it's a bios password?
Good luck

PASSWORD PROBLEMS

Hi, To access or enter motherboard BIOS settings, on powerup either F2 or Del. If you just want to remove the password in your Dell Optiplex > The BIOS password may be cleared by removing the password jumper (PSWD) on the motherboard. This will also clear all CMOS settings: Open your casing, on your motherboard. find the CMOS password reset jumper (3-pin) on the motherboard; Remove the jumper from pins 1 and 2 and put it on pins 2 and 3 for about 5 seconds. Replace back the jumper on pins 1 and 2. Hope this be of help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.
