SOURCE: Paper jammed and now a piece of the paper is still

Turn over the toner/drum assembly and look under the roller and guide, also if you open the rear door there are levers on each side to release pressure on the paper if it's in the fuser. With the toner and drum out, you can see up to the input to the fuser, and from the back is the output from the fuser. It could be HOT!

Keeps saying there is a paper jam

Unplug the printer and open all the access panels. Using a small flashlight may help. Carefully check all areas inside the printer for a stray piece of paper logged somewhere inside. You may need a small pair of pliers or tweezers to remove the piece of paper.

When clearing jams ensure you find the entire piece of paper that was jammed in the printer.

When your done, be sure to securely replace all parts removed from the printer and properly close all the access panels.

Paper jam warning

There must be somewhere still a tiny piece of paper. To check if the tomer is also good without a piece of paper stuck, put in a new tomer and see if the light is fine then. also try not to overload the paper tray just a few papers there and make sure there is no paper open all doors to the printer top and side and look for that small piece that is stuck somewhere
good luck

A piece of foam sponge under the ink catridges has broken, and the printer will not cleanly draw paper for printing - it jams.

The sponge under the print cartridges is to soak up the ink when cleaning the print heads. If part of it broken off and lodged in the rollers where the paper is drawn into the printer then try to locate the sponge and remove it. Sounds like it's lodged somewhere and jamming the paper feed.

I am unable to print because of a "paper jam". I have removed the paper from the printer, unhooked the printer from the computer, etc. and continue to get this message. Can you help?

A "paper jam" means that there is some paper or a piece of paper somewhere inside the printer, in the paper rollers. Turn the printer OFF. Open the printer and carefully look for a piece of paper or a paper page half-folded inside. SLOWLY pull the paper out. Replace the cover and turn on again.

My paper has been jamming when fed from the back. I found a foam piece that has come from somewhere in my machine. the piece is about eight inches long and seems that it might have had an effect on the...

try this

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
  3. Also open the back cover of the printer if this model has one.
  4. Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
  5. If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it away from light/ sun light to avoid damaging it.
  6. If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly. The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
  7. If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper. Don't force anything, though. Do this step especially if the jam message comes up repeatedly without any obvious paper jam, there may be a small tear of paper inside.
  8. Ones the printer is free of paper Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
  9. If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.
  10. see alternative if the problem is still not solved.

alternative :
Load a piece of thick paper, for example photo paper and press the resume button (may be diffrent button on diffrent models) a few times to the printer picks up the paper and puts it through the machine.

How do I get fix a "carriage jam"?

I was able to run run a piece of photo paper through a couple of times and printer now seems to be working again. The theory was that running a heavy piece of paper through might help clear little piece of paper that was not visible. The photo paper is less likely to tear if it gets jammed too.
