Question about Computers & Internet

I am trying to install a USB760 modem on a Toshia Satellite A105 with no success. It is supposed to auto-insatll but nothing happens. I have checked all the ports with no success. It does work on another computer. In device manager I can see the entry with a yellow exclamation mark under USB controllers

    Thank you.

I have download that with no sucess. I am running XP Media Center SP2.

I have tried to weed out all the old drivers. Where might I have overlooked.

Would a reinstall of the OS help?

    Thanks.

Hi,

If you get Yellow exclamation mark, it denoted that the driver is not functioing / Driver Conflict / Inappropriate driver, to resolve this issue, the only way is to download the latest driver

Try the new software for VZAccess Manager here's the link to your device for Vista 64bit and 32bit
http://vzam.net/download/download.aspx?productid=588

My theory: The problem happened when the previous Verizon Access Manager and Mobile Broadband Generic Drivers were uninstalled prior to reinstalling the program with the replacement USB760. This caused a conflict or corruption in the system which caused the reinstallation of Verizon's software to fail in Vista computers.

Whether it is Verizon's problem with the software, or a Vista problem, or both, But uninstalling the Verizon program via Control Panel's uninstall program would have caused your problem.

Hope this information helps .

This is issue with old drivers , running for vista, upgrading the driver from the above link will solve your issues...

So the only solution is Reinstall the Vista or backup the system using the recovery CD given along with your System and perform a clean install after that, this should solve your problem

I have a Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop that will not power up.

Get sure the memories are good. then try reseting the BIOS by removing the BIOS batery, let it out for 5 minutes and place it again. Though you have to disassembly almost the whole laptop. If dont, chek the other "pheripheral" devices, HDD, DVD, and another (If)

hi...there... let me ask you first..what kind OS that you using now for A105 XP or Vista? ' cause i think you have problem with your Operating System that seem your OS is broken and need to reinstall.
first you must buy OS Cd same like you using before and MS Office Cd to for work with office.

Isuggest you to use original cd both for cd OS and Office. about your A105 driver you can put latter (if you have) or download it with typing at search egine (ex:google) " driver Tosibha Satellite A105" and chose driver depen the OS that you install for your A105

Toshiba a100 laptop

Definitely try without the battery. These models are known to have a "short" problem, usually with the palm rest, which causes this failure, although it usually is more sporatic, and doesn't happen 100% of the time.
Also, can you remove all but 1 piece of memory.
Good luck, and let us know what happens.

Won't maintain Internet connection

Generally the modem connections have time setting. Check if there is anything on the settings.

Another possibility it might your modem doing that. I have seen that happening on a PC.

I think you have to give a little bit more details about too to give a better opinion.
