Memory low message on hp laserjet pro 200

see HP LaserJet Pro Printers Memory is Low message displayed on the control...

HP LaserJet Pro Printers - 'Memory is Low' message displayed on the control panel HP LaserJet Pro - Troubleshoot 20.xx (memory failure) and 21.xx (print failure) error messages (ID: emr_na-c05049204)
HP Customer Support page and ensure the printer is running the latest available firmware. Print a Configuration Report from the control panel of the printer to check the installed firmware version.
  • If the printer supports expandable memory, you can install additional memory in the form of a DIMM. Check the printer's User Guide to see if it supports additional memory.
  • Break complex print jobs into smaller jobs that contain fewer pages.
  • If the printer is an MFP, delete stored faxes to increase available memory. Go to this document for instructions: HP LaserJet Pro MFP - Delete faxes from memory (ID: emr_na-c03264743)
  • Power cycle the printer to delete stored fonts or macros. It is possible to download fonts or macros in a way that power cycling the printer will not delete them; see Appendix A - Memory Allocation.
  • Changing some software and/or print driver settings might result in a less complex print job.
  • Use a different print driver. For example, a PostScript print driver will typically result in a more complex print file. If possible, try sending the file with a PCL6 or UPD printer driver.
  • Adobe PDF files can sometimes be very complex. Go to this document if printing PDF files is slow or resulting in memory out messages: HP LaserJet - Print job is slow or hangs in the print queue when printing Adobe PDF files (ID: emr_na-c04071740)
  • If the printer is connected via a network, try sending the file connected by USB cable only. This will eliminate possible network issues that are taking printer memory.
  • Appendix A
Memory Allocation Utilities or jobs that you download to the product sometimes include resources (for example, fonts, macros, or patterns). Resources that are internally marked as permanent remain in the product memory until you turn the product off.
Use the following guidelines if you use the page description language (PDL) ability to mark resources as permanent. For technical details, see an appropriate PDL reference for PCL or PS.
    • Mark resources as permanent only when it is absolutely necessary that they remain in memory while the product is turned on.
    • Send permanent resources to the product only at the beginning of a print job and not while the product is printing.
NOTE: Overusing permanent resources or downloading them while the product is printing might affect product performance or the ability to print complex pages.

Hello i have a hp laserjet 1006 and i dont know if the ink runs out or you need another cartrige??? please help

This type of printer does not use ink cartridges, and instead uses toner cartridges.

When the toner starts to get low, you will see the print fading on the page.

You can buy a replacement cartridge directly from the HP website from this link:

Maximum file size for printing on the hp color laserjet 5500n - having issues with pdf files

If you are getting 49.XXXX error codes while printing PDF files, you can try upgrading the machines firmware.
This seems to be a common "PDF file printing" problem with the LaserJet 4250.

My hp laserjet 2840 is printing reams of gobbledy

Looks like you have a corrupt print file. Delete all of your printer documents in the queue, shut off the printer and unplug the ethernet connection and the printer (from the wall jack) for about 30 seconds. Plug everything back in and try again.

Note: If this happens again, narrow down the specific file that's causing it and don't print with it. I've seen webpage PDF's cause this problem in a number of HP's.

    Pale print on PDF files

It sounds like a driver problem. Try replacing the driver for this printer on the printers folder, using the HP LaserJet Series II. With this driver, try again the PDF file and see if it prints correctly.
