You can purchase a new belt at
You can also contact them to find a new stylus for it. It is a good idea to clean the pulleys and any surface the belt contacts with rubbing alcohol.

Looking inside the turntable from the top, you should instantly see the old rubber belt. It may be broken, stretched so badly that it slips, or is simply worn out and cracking. Before you remove it, take a good look at how it fits around the spindle and motor drive shaft. The new belt must go on the spindle in the same configuration.

Lift out the old belt and discard, then install the new belt around the spindle and drive shaft, pulling gently to stretch the belt so it will fit into place.

You can then replace the platter by lowering it straight down and aligning it onto the spindle. Again, don't try to force the platter or lower it at an angle.

Slip the rubber anti-skid mat back on the platter, replace the dust cover and spin some old vinyl.

Why does the belt on a riccar vacuum keeps coming off?

The cause could be different depending on which model you have. Some models have stretch belts which should be replaced at least once per year because they lose elasticity. The most common problem I've found with Riccar vacuums is the belt coming off when a new belt is installed on an older model. Riccar vacuums are very well built and many owners use their vacuum for many years without having it serviced. I recently had a 17 year old Riccar Vibrance model brought in for service because the belt crumbled to pieces. The vacuum had the original belt and filters. Putting a tight new belt on the vacuum pulls on the motor because it must be stretched so much. After many hours and years of use screws may need tightened up and motor mounts and pivot points can become worn.
If your model is a few years old or is used heavily I suggest having it inspected by a qualified Riccar service center. A properly maintained Riccar vacuum can last 10 or even 20 years. A few dollars spent on maintaining it can add years to the usable life.

Brush not turning and there is a smell

Your belt has most likely burned in half, this happens from an object getting caught in the brush roll, a brush roll that does not shin freely i.e. debris under the end caps or usually and old stretched out belt that has been slipping; belts can stretch out in 6 months whether you use the vacuum or not.
Remove the brush roll and old belt, inspect for damage, clean out the area and instal an new belt or the same brand and type. It should be good as new.

Loud noise when the brushroll is on

Your clutch is slipping, either the belts have stretched or there is sufficient debris in the brush roll end caps to slow it down. Both issues can be problematic as Dyson uses a special tool to lift the drive belt to facilitate removing the brush roll. It looks like this: if the problem is stretched belts, more than 3 years old, you can get replacement belts but must take the the clutch out and disassemble it to install the new belts. This sounds daunting but any knowledgable service center can do this in a matter of minutes. Conversely, you can purchase a new clutch assembly with new belts but that gets costly. If all else fails, call the Dyson help line, the number is located on your machine and advise them of the situation, they have a a 5 year warranty on some items. Remember all parts of this vacuum are serviceable and don't forget to clean your filters.

Belt slipping

You mean front- to-back or side- to-side?

If its side to side, adjust the allen bolts at the bottom front of the treadmill. If its front to back, and your treadmill is at least a few years old, the belt is probably stretched and needs replacing. You can get a quote for a new belt at

Belt will not stay tight.

Is it slipping side-to-side or front-to-back? If side to side, you can stop this by adjusting the two allen bolts on the bottom fronts sides of the treadmill. If it is front to front, and your treadmill is more than a few years old, the belt is probably stretched and needs replacing.

Door opens fully and then slips down a few inches then opens again and slips down again

The door is too heavy for the operator most likely. Check the door to see if you need new, or adjusted springs. However, I am guessing you may just have a 15+ year old operator that may have a slipping belt. If it is that old, you should probably replace the unit. You can get another belt, and check the "up" sensitivity. It may need to be increased.

Turntable belt drive keeps slipping off.

I have a Linn LP12. At least in the case of my turntable, that's just how you are supposed to use it (i.e. this is what the manual says). You could get a replacement belt f you like, but I would guess it will not make a difference - that is, I think you do not need a replacement belt.

However, in my case I don't have to be very careful about the start-up push on the turntable, just one tweak to get it rotating at about the right speed is enough in my case.
