Time for a new pair. If you are not handy with a sodering iron it is best to buy another set. Once the wires are broken inside the insulation the only thing that can be done is replace the wire itself. it is easy to break the wires inside the insulation twisting the cord, pulling or yanking the cord, along with blending the cord in a sharp bend acn damage this cords that they put on products today.

Left channel no sound on logitech headset

Usually something like this is simply the wire at the headseat becoming broken by twisting and stress. If you gently twist and push right where the wire enters the ear cup. It will work and then stop as the wire make a connection. Unless you can solder you will end up replacing the set. Make sure to try it out on a different pc or mp3 player etc just to make sure it is the headset.

Hi, I have a Plantronics BackBeat 903+ and I have a big problem with it. It seems to have a bad contact some where in the left earpiece that every time I just touch it it turns off immediately. Can...

It sounds like there may be a short in the headset. If you are just touching the ear piece and then you hear nothing on that side. If that side has been damaged at all you might want to check for manufacture cracks or loose wiring. If your Plantronics Backbeat 903 is still under warranty you should be able to get another one.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

I fixed mine by removing the soft ear cup then the two screws under this cup then carefully pry that top piece off the next lower piece. It will come but it is stuck with some soft glue.
Next, unsolder the two wires on the back of the speaker taking note of the polarity. These wires are what are broken. Undo the screw in the center. With a small screwdriver carefully pry the pivoting cup off the ear piece. It is snapped onto a small ball joint under the screw.
Now remove the four screws and remove the top of the ear piece.
Remove the two screws from the small printed circuit board and unsolder the two speaker wires. You will need to find some new wire that is flexible and not much bigger in diameter. I used some that was too large and had trouble getting the last cap that holds the soft ear cup back on. I also reamed out the holes in the cap and the cup that the wires go through to give them more movement.
Replace everything and solder the wires to the speaker in the same order as removing.
You will need a good small tipped soldering iron.

Good luck

Logitech USB Gaming Headset only working out of one ear

I've had this happen twice with Logitech headsets and believe it has to do with the cheap/fine wire they use in the cables. I suspect that a good tug on the cable will snap the wire or some other internal connection.
