Question about Belkin (F5D7050) 802.11a/g/b Wireless Adapter

Adaptor not recognised!

We brought 5 of these for our computers a few months ago. One has been running non stop without problem the entire time. Others will come and go, Will work for anywhere from a day to 5 mins. Then i'll get a USB device not recognized or occasionally (code 10) device cannot start. If i switch in a different card sometimes it'll do the same and work for a while or it can just not be recognized again.

Re: Adaptor not recognised!

On the one that is working are you using the usb extender? sometimes it starts to work if you dont use it, and just plug it directly into the usb port. i think xp has problems recognizing the extended thing. (srry i really dont know what to call that thing lol)

I don't why edup wireless nano adaptor 802.11n is not recognised by my windows 8.1

Try to boot up then insert it.

You may also need to manually remove all network adapters (or all wireless adapters first then try again).

I think you can click start, type wireless, and go to wireless network management to see all network adapters (thera rea few ways to get there)

I found I needed a USB/Ethernet adaptor in order to connect my new broadband and purchased an ASIX AX88772A vai your product A31GY from Maplins. I'm having trouble in that the Broadband set up refuses to...

I allowed Windows Update to search for the right driver. This took a long time - I'd tried earlier but evidently hadn't let it run for long enough. It located and loaded a driver and everything was then fine: the ethernet connection (via adaptor) 'went live', my new broadband set-up software recognised it and proceeded sussessfully from there.

I assume that the device manager on my PC was correctly identifying corrupt drivers on the small CD supplied with the adaptor and that I'd managed to find uncorrupted ones on the internet via Windows Update.

Uninstall any and all "Norton" application from your computer using the "Norton uninstaller". Then reinstall the network adapter drivers.
The norton firewall causes a HUGE LOT of problems to the network adapters.
Get another security solution, other than any "norton" product.

Packet capture

You can go with any G or higher series adaptor with an antenna, I have brought a very cheap usb wireless network adaptor without anteena and modified it by attaching a reflector and antenna which has drastically improved the signal gain and range.

My DV6000 stopped recognising any wireless netwrorks ( I have 2+ neighboors'). The wireless adaptor light is red.

Click start, then type cmd into the run box.
When command prompt window opens type
Now if the ping failed - your adapter is dead-sorry
If it comes back without packets lost - adapter is fine and your neighbors are onto you (just jocking) adapter is fine and there maybe another hundred reasons , but they all have to do with networks.

Keep getting the error "USB device not recognised."

This means that your license has run out. The internet talking kit was not free it had a temporary license and it expired, when you try to reload it, it does not work because a file has been added to your computer that prevents it from working without a vaild license. Now you have some options, use VMware create a virtual machine that shares this hardware without loading the program, ghost the VMware machine and then save this image. Load the USB drivers and the program, use for 3-4 months until the license runs out. when the license runs out use reimage the VMware machine with the ghost image and reload the usb driver and the talking kit program. Yes its a lot of work, or you can just buy the license load it and as they say keep on getting up.
