Please Turn camera off and then on again

When I turn the camera on, it comes up and then says "Please turn camera off and then on again". Looks like it is trying to recover from an internal error. Maybe I can reset the camera's computer? It also is doing a focus back and forth thing like it's zooming back and forth.

- OK. This error occurs when force has been applied to the lense. Is there any way to fix it?
