When new, my camera started stamping pics with the date 1/1/2000. The date increments each day like it should, but I have found nowhere that you can set the correct date. All my images are in the year 2000! The manual says nothing about dates, and there is no menu setting I can find for it. Any help? Thanks!
I contacted Polaroid help desk and they were clueless. They said there is no way to set the time after messing around with the camera for 10 minutes.
When you pull the photos off the camera it does record a date and time. I believe they forgot to add the option in the setup menu so you cannot get to it. I asked for them to send me a differant camera and the help desk rep laughed.
I guess thats what I get for buying a cheap camera.

I have a Polaroid a530, yeah, an older camera, but it's been reliable. I was just getting ready to send this to a friend for him to use, but then when I turned it on to make sure it was alright, I had a shock when I saw the USB connection screen. This model lets you select between a PC, Printer, or Webcam connection, and that's the menu screen that pops up, instead of the normal picture-taking screen. I temporarily solved it by removing the batteries, waiting 10-15 minutes, and then turned it back on, where I find that the picture screen is up for about five seconds before the USB prompt comes up again. So then I did it again and took three pictures really quickly, and it seemed to work, restarted, it was fine, restarted, it was fine, restarted and then the darn USB screen was back! I'm a little bummed, my friend needs this camera. somehow the device is fooled into thinking it's connected when it's not. thanks for your attention.
