Question about Fuji FinePix A350 Digital Camera

Fujifilm s5700 camera

Hi, I recently bought this camera(fuji s5700) and put in my new memory card, a fuji1gb xd-picture card, everything was working fine. I was taking photos and could review themand delete the ones I did not want. Then when I wanted to place them on my computer I removed the card from the camera and inserted it into my card reader. The computer then told me the card was not formated and doing so would delete all the memory.I then put the card back into my camera but that told me " ! card not initilized". I have lot of photos that are quite important to my local football club on it and was wondering what the problem is and is there any way of saving these photos?
many thanks PJ

Re: fujifilm s5700 camera

Yeah there is a way of getting the photo;s back that you'e deleted from the card.. just don't do anything else like re-format the card and put anything else on it in the meantime.

Try Zar recovery, I'm sure there's a free trail period before having to buy... I've used it and got all my photo's back!

Next your gonna want to re-format your media card, this should be very simple.. go to my computer and right click on it and go to the option format; then format the whole size of the storage media as "FAT"

Hope this all works okay for you

Card not initialized?

The error can be caused by:

1. The xD-Picture Card or internal memory is not formatted.

2. The xD-Picture Card contact area is soiled.

3. a camera fault

for 1.:

Format the xD-Picture Card or internal memory on the camera (p.130)
To format the internal memory or xD card goto format in the setup menu and chose the correct memory.

for 2.:

Wipe the contact area on the xD-Picture Card with a soft, dry cloth. It may be necessary to format the xD-Picture Card

If the message still appears, replace the xD-Picture Card

I have a J10 fujifilm camera and it currently has an error message: FRAME NO. FULL! I have the following picture card: Fujifilm xD xD-Picture Card M1GB Any advice would be appreciated.

Try formatting the memory card. If that doesn't work, try a different memory card. If that doesn't help, sadly, it's probably time to return the camera if it's still under warranty.

Good luck!

Memory card won't work

Try this site for a firmware update. You need to get a AC power adapter for it to work though. It is from Fuji and it worked fine for my A120. The older XD cards are of a different format then the newer ones so if your new XD card has an 'M' on it you will need to do the firmware solution.
Good luck

You will need to do a firmware update to be able to use your new 'M' XD card. Also you will need a AC adapter to be able to use the update for your camera.
It is a Fuji site and it works.
Good luck.

Fuji xd memory card

I had same problem especially in flash mode. I changed SD Memory card and it is now 100% good. You must always use Premier brand cards, cause others may cause problems. You must als format your card first, before changing it.

Memory Card problems

It may sound stupid and obvious but try just taking the memory card out, give it a bit of a blow/wipe and putting it back in again, worked for me when my s5700 said it had a full card or that there was some other problem with the card

Memory Card Problem

I've solved it.
I'll bet a buck you also bought a memory card reader.
If you hook the memory card (or camera) to a computer, you'll see a directory with a name like fuji_999.
After you download the pictures delete that directory from the memory card, and the problem's solved.
I just did it with a 1 gig xd card in my daughter's fuji 480. It had a main directory on the card called DXsomething, and 2 subdirectories, fuji_100, and fuji_999.
I deleted all three directories (after saving the photos), and the problem is gone.
Hope it works for you.
