Question about GE Profile Harmony DPGT750EC Electric Dryer

Harmony Start/stop button cover

The white cover part of my GE Harmony Start/Stop button dryer button fell off the dryer and my child had it in her mouth gagging. The dryer has only the green backing and the silver metal square with elongated corners showing. How do I reapply the button cover. Called GE and they had no ideas! They were not interested at all on the choking issue!

This dryer has 6 control buttons on the dashboard. The two buttons to the left of the display screen, the BACK and HELP buttons are the only two buttons that work. They work every time they are pushed. ...

The board that the buttons are mounted on probably has a poor soldered joint, corrosion or a loose plug. You will have to disconnect the mains and dismantle to inspect. Are you going to do this yourselves.

My Ge Harmony Dryer sometimes will not spend. It heats up but will not spend at times.

Try manually start the dryer. Take a piece of tape and tape the switch on the door. Then take one hand turn the drum and press the start button at the same time. If is starts then then you have bad motor.

I have a GE profile harmony gas dryer that says "a problem has been detected call 1-800-GE-Cares' on the display. I just finished putting in the new dryer drum that fell apart. Any suggestions? Reset...

If there were no problems before replacing drum I would go back and make sure all 3 wiring connections are made behind the door panel. From there this machine is too complex to diagnose over the phone.

GE Profile Harmony Electric Dryer - Starts out heating but then screen says SENSING

nicknames, usually with long dry times I suspect a pinched or clogged vent. Make sure you check that first. You can do a test to check the moisture sensor. The 2 sensor bars will be on the inside of the drum just below the vent cage. Press the home and then help button. Next press and hold the help and start/stop button for 3 seconds. On a dry sensor, you should see a voltage of approx 4.75 displaying. Now get a wet rag and hold them across the 2 sensor bars. You should see the voltage drop to about 1.0 volts. If it does this your sensor is ok. Check the vent and this out first and we will take it from there. Catriver.
