Question about Hitachi 55UX58B 55" Rear Projection Television
My tv just stopped powering on. I took the back cover off and it appears that some green lights in the back come on for a split second then turn off. Is there anything a novice can fix for a 55ux58b hitachi projection screen...it appears I need a e994 and a c707 but I can't find the c707 anywhere in the tv and can't find the parts online...any suggestions
E 994 is a orange pico fuse---and the c707 is a cap----I can email you photos of both and tell you exactly where to find them on the circuit board--this is a very common and easy repair if it is your problem---I carry the caps and fuse in my tool kit wherever I go---You will have to unbolt the chassis and tilt it up--10 minutes--each of these parts has two leads that need to be unsoldered and then resoldered after you replace the parts.
I do this here for free so if you want the instructions take a moment and give me a vote here.

Its a simple fix if you know which parts to use/avoid and how to do the repair. You can get complete instructions and parts for your model from www.TvRepairKits.com . Their kits include step by step color instruction guide as well as the correct parts to fix this issue.
