Question about ASUS T2 P4P8T WO/CD/MDM FM AGP8X GETH WIFI (t2-p)

Mainboard P4P8T doesn't boot.

Hello. I have an ASUS T2-P computer with a P4P8T ASUS mainboard.
There are two lights on the case: one blue for power and one yellow for HDD.
The mainboard doesn't boot. I disconected all the devices (HDD, DVD-CD, etc.)
When I turn on the computer, the blue led turns on and the yellow one turns on and off very quickly.
I also cleared RTC RAM, put on a new battery and nothing happens.
What else can I do ?
Thank's for your attention

Either the Power Supply or MB is bad....I would guess the PS....does the mainboard have a 4 pin connector?

If so this may be required to get your system to boot....which with a volt meater you can check the voltage of this (Black and Yellow connector from the PS)

My computer's mainboard is ASUS M4A785T-M; Whenever I'm trying to boot the computer it gets stuck on boot logo. Its a green color screen on which the mainboard model no is showing (M4A785T-M). Again s

Try this solution, you have the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD), which you cannot see on a green screen. It can be caused by a setup problem on the motherboard if you are sing SATA drives.

Asus desktop bios pass

Hello a bios password is fairly easy to come buy.

Open the case, and locate the cmos battery on the mainboard:

Remove the battery for like 20 min, and insert the battery again.
This will clear the bios password.

But you have to setup the whole bios, boot setings, clock, date, etc, before the pc can run again.

Visit asus here:

http://www.service.asus.com/#!Downloads/c1wax

And enter the mainboard number, or use auto detect to find the mainboard.

This is for downloading the manual, if in doubt setting up the bios.

Good luck

What mother board should is best for use on this video editing, engineering, and games with better graphics and can also work for more than 18 hours?

The best computer mainboard, would be either an AMD AM3 mainboard made by ASUS. For example ASUS Crosshair IV Formula or ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3. Or an Intel computer mainboard. ASUS Socket 1156/1155/1366.

Your Pentium Dual-Core E2180 2.0Ghz on the LGA775 socket is not good for Games or video.

The best thing to do is to purchase a new computer system.

Use either AMD Phenom 2 or Intel I5 or I7.
Use a good mainboard as above.
Use a good Graphics card, Nvidia 400 series.
Keep all the components running cool with a case that you like and has place for lots of 120mm or 140mm fans.
Use DDR3 RAM 1333MHz or higher.
Use Cooler Master or Corsair Power Supply.

If however you are wanting a good mainboard to be used with your Pentium Dual-Core E2180 2.0Ghz on the LGA775 socket then click here.

ASUS is very good, all these mainboard on the LGA775 socket are good, choose one that looks good to you and one that you can afford.

Thanking you kindly

Hello,

There is no clarification pf sysmtoms in the problem reported but can suggest following steps:

Whether power is coming in the machine?
If the power is coming and system is restarting at manufacturers logo then this might be the issue with the mainboard.
No Power
Might be gthe issue with mainboard or the power supply.
Power but not booting or any error message is coming?
The OS is currupted and reinstallation is needed.

Please text for any clarification.

Red Light

Hi Ivematthew,
Usually, that red light is simply an indicator that the mainboard is receiving a 5volt supply from the power supply and you must NEVER install or remove any mainboard components whilst this light is on. In fact, dont touch the instde if the case or the mainboard if this light is on.
If you are getting a no signal on your monitor, try turning off at the mains and pulling the plug out, then touch the metal chassis of the case BEFORE you touch anything inside the case.
Then carefully remove your video card and re-install it into the same slot, you can even do this a couple of times. Then try booting the system up.
Also, check that both ends of the video cable are securely connected and that the cable appears undamaged.
I have to ask, Is the system booting up?
Are you getting a single beep at the start of the boot or is your system beeping more then once?
If it is beeping more then once, count the length and number of beeps and go to the ASUS website where you can use the beep code to locate the particular fault the mainboard is signalling about.
Let me know how things go and email me if you are still having issues OK?
