Question about Hitachi 61SDX01B 61" Rear Projection Television
Contact me via email--you may have a bad cap in this set--it is location C707--if it is gone there will also be a 2 amp pico fuse blown---I can tell you where to look for both parts and what they look like--if the fuse is blown it is 99% chance just it and the cap are bad--very common in these sets--about 5 dollars for both parts together--each part is soldered in with two leads---I have fixed a lot of HItachi big screens--if you locate the fuse and it is gone the cap will also be bad.....

that white line is a high voltage leak have you had this set serviced lately? one of the hv lines from the flyback transformer
is not seated or leaking you need a tech to find it not a safety issue just an anoyance
