Did you install from the ACER-provided CD/DVD disks,
or from a "generic" Windows XP CD-ROM?

Have you tried using Windows Update, and clicking "custom" scan, and then clicking the "hardware" label, to see if Windows Update has found any updates for your hardware?

Sir or Madam I did work on a compaq P3 desktop and now the sound is not working after i did install windows OS the sound card in the PC is Creative Sound Bluster I will like to download the drivers from...

do not use the cd for the initial driver install remove them if you already installed them, download the latest driver first to your hard drive from here http://us.creative.com/ Go to support and find the audio card you have. Once you have the updated driver info ready, then go to the device manager and find the creative audio driver, it should have an exclamation point showing that it requres attention. Right click and select update driver, when asked by windows to install it, choose the driver you downloaded from Creative. Also, make sure the default sound card is sound blaster using the control panel, sounds and audio devices, audio tab.

Let me know how it works out for you.

Toshiba 310cds windows '98

go here >http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

Put in product type, family, product series, model, Operating system, Choose audio for driver type, choose your country, then download the audio driver for win98 and install it once downloaded that should fix the audio problem
As for the flash drive go to the manufacturers web site and find the win98 driver
Win98 will not auto recognize flash drives like winxp does , they require a driver for windows to find them
Best of luck
Hope this helps you
