There is float switch to turn off the machine if there is water in the base

Cause of leak will have to be found.
Excess suds will do it
There is a black FLOW RESTRICTER washer in the fill hose connection- behind the filter- dont remove it -- it must go in the correct way.

check hose connections

Flashing red flight

Its probably the cleaning light that comes on periodically to remind you to clean the unit. Shut off the unit AND when you do so hold down the power button for several seconds until the flashing red light shuts off. The cleaning light should stay off until the next cleaning is due.

Per the Air-O-Swiss FAQ:

Q: Cleaning light is flashing (AOS U650, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7147)
A: Switch the unit OFF and unplug it. Empty the water in the base. Rinse the base with hot/clean water. Do not submerge the base! Visually inspect the base for dirt or mineral build up. If soft water is used decalcifying the unit every 4 weeks with EZ Cal is suggested. If hard water is used the unit should be decalcified every 2 weeks. Do not forget to reset the clean light after resetting the unit.

Q: Reset cleaning light (AOS U650, AOS 7135, AOS 7142, AOS 7144, AOS 7147)
A: The cleaning light does not automatically reset. Hold down the power button (button A in instruction manual) until the light stops flashing. The light automatically comes on approximately 14 days after plugging in the unit.

Red and orage lights are on - continuous beeping

It would be helpful if you are able to record the lights that are blinking.

Most likely the flood switch at the base of the diswasher under the bottom drawer has tripped. There is water leakage caused either by a broken hose or broken drawer lid seal.

The easiest way to confirm is to turn the power off at the power socket and shut off the water inlet tap. Pull open the bottom drawer and use towels to dry off the base. Use a hair dryer to fully dry the base. The flood switch is located on a small circuit board in the middle of the base. Wait for a couple of hours and then turn the power and water inlet back on. See if the beeps stop.

Water pump cuts in when it wants then keeps on running

Hello Kevin,

In the bottom base frame of the dishwasher is a flood detector,it has detected water in the base and will only power the drain pump as long as the dishwasher is powered up, until such a time it has detected their is no more water in the base. To remove that water in the base, you need to get to base frame and use sponges/towels/ a shop vac ect to remove that water, then determine why it was there and tripped the flood switch. In some cases its just a matter of too much detergent so it oversudsed or their could be a leak in the water or drain pump,or any of the hoses.

Have a bosch dishwasher Mod. No. SGI53A55AUSS installed March 2004. All filters clear, exit pump clear and working. Switch on washer can hear exit pump working but machine does not accept water to fill....

Hello,

You said you had water under the dishwasher, did you remove the lower panel below the door and check for water in the base frame as well. Bosch dishwashers have system in the base frame that detects water in base and cuts power off to every component except drain pump till it no longer sees the water in the base.

Hope this helps

Sink drain bloked. Plungered sink then dishwasher started draining and wont stop. Turnt power of at switch

Hello berrey,

Due to the sink drainage problem what has happened is some water has collected in the base frame of your dishwasher and it(the d/w) has a sensor built into the base frame that has detected the water and will only power the drain pump until the sensor is satisfied that the water is gone.To remove that water UNPLUG OR TURNOFF THE BREAKER TO THE D/W(since thier may be some exposed wires) remove the kick(toe)plate and remove the water using a sponge/towel/ shop vac or what not (thier may be as much as several quarts/liters)

F1 code how to fix and re-set

Is this happening with both drawers or just one.

You have water leaking into the base of the dishwasher under the drawer.

Most likely the drawer seal is leaking.

The flood switch is located at the base of the dishwasher and this needs to be dried.

Turn power off and take the bottom drawer out. Dry base with towels and hair dryer. Turn power back on without putting the drawer back.

Run top drawer to see if any water is leaking.

Water leaks can be due to faulty seal or drain hoses cracked.

Hope you are able to fix it.

No instruction manual

FILLING THE WATER TANKS
1. Before filling the water tanks, push the POWER switch to the “OFF” position and
unplug unit. Refer to cleaning instructions.
2. Remove water tanks from base, turn each tank upside down and remove tank cap
by turning counterclockwise. Fill tank with clean cold tap water.
Replace the tank cap by turning clockwise. Tighten firmly.
3. Carefully pick up tank, since it will be heavy when full, and slippery if wet.
4. Place water tanks on base. Make sure tanks are properly placed, otherwise, the
humidifier will not work correctly.

Iron leaks water from the back end of the base

This problem is the way that rowenta seals the water tank. If the iron is disassembled and the seal is properly put on it will not leak,, however this seal is a silicone based product and not just an off the shelf gasket. I have sealed and repaired some using a high temp silicone
