Question about Poulan Pro Chain Saw 46cc 20"
It doesn't get a lot of use either and worked fine the first few years I owned it. Now, though, it leaks sometimes large amounts of oil from the area where it is supposed to feed the chain. Seems to have something to do with the seals in that area, but I haven't been able to get to them (yet).
Remove the bar and chain and clean the port where the oil comes out of the engine. Clean the holes at the back of the bar on both sides including the small ports that pass oil into the chain slot. Blow them out with compressed air if possible. Clean the chain slot and oil the tip sprocket if it has one. Make sure the mounting faces of the bar are clean and smooth finish.
