1.Check inside the printer to see if you have the ink properly installed. 2.Make sure you don't you re-use papers that you have already used. 3.All papers have to be perfectly allined. 4.Check the connection wires between the computer and the printer. 5.Scan your computer with a security system to catch and eliminate viruses, tracking cookies etc. If all else fails I don't know what to say
I had a similar problem, my printer was chewing the paper and then I was getting a jammed paper message. I looked inside but couldn't see much anything. I then removed (unscrewed) all the panels, and next I know, a culprit materialized, in other words, something fell inside the printer. I then managed to put it all back together, ended up with a few extra screws, but heck it works like a clockwork. God bless screwdrivers with magnetic tips, they made my life so easier.
If the error light is flashing: Check the front door and the fuser door to be sure that they are closed. Also check for any jam including the duplex section. Make sure there is not a sensor flag stuck in the down position. This can indicate memory full, print overrun, size error DX or duplex disabled.
If the error light is not flashing: it can mean there is no paper in tray 1 or the machine may be asking for you to put paper in the multi purpose tray.
Please check the content of your printer. You should have there the manual , cables, and CD driver. If you don't have, please get down loaded your printer driver at manufacturer website. Check the model and type then search download bar.
Just guessing.... Not knowing the model or Make of the copier. You Probably have to change the papersize on the drawer that you are putting the larger paper into to equal 8.5x14: usually by a dial or the position of the fences (side and rear paper guides inside of the tray)....
