Bosch HBL 645 Convection Oven -- No Heat

We have a Bosch HBL 645 Convection Oven that is about 5 years old. There is no heat. This model has a red lamp on the control panel to indicate when the heating elements are powered -- that lamp does not illuminate. The timers and clock all work OK. The convection fans start OK, The interiror oven lights are OK. The power input voltages measure OK. A schematic would be helpful, but I cannot locate one and there isn't one in the owners manual nor the installation manual.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I looked at SAMS publications -- its been years since I looked at one of their books. Nothing found about Bosch ovens.

Oh, and this is an electric oven. I've checked the power circuits - they measure OK.

Goto this site for a manual http://www.samswebsite.com/. sounds to me like the heat/control board may be bad.Is this gas or electric?Youll have to find out if you have power coming out of the heat board. The thermostat could also be an issue, let me know ill try to track down a schematic for you.

Common heating faults with Bosch HBL 442 / HBL 446 single oven

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEO TUTORIALS 1, If the Bosch fan motor in the back of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the BOSCH element you will have to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will see the fan and element, if you look closely at the element you will probably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes however there is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie: broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nuts from the rear of the machine.
2, If your BOSCH fan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the food more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is a little more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your BOSCH oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your BOSCH oven is not working at all ie: no heat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Bosch HBL 645 oven door won't close all the way

I am afraid that the door hinges are non adjustable, and the only solution is to replace them as a pair.
There should be some kind of latch mechanism at the end of the hinge
where it is fastened to the door to compress the hinge to enable you to remove them.
Hope this helps.

The good sign is that the motor works fine as do heaters. If the operator interface acknowledges feature selection by beeping or what have you, we can safely say the problem lies with the control board or relay.

Oven is not heating...the convection fan blows, but no heat

If the oven is electric and fan assisted, then I would suggest that the oven fan element is faulty.

Bosch oven

looks as though youre circotherm element has blown (open circuit) you will need to remove oven and check with multimeter should read around 35-37 ohms on 2.5 kilowatt heater if open circuit will need replacing easy to do on most ovens and no too expensive around £30-£35 for element depends on model and output power.

hope this helps

Oven not heating

there is more to this than meets the eye if youre oven takes a long time on fan setting it may be thermostat but more likely to be fan not turning at all or quickly enough the stat capillary is above oven element and if fan not blowing air away from capillary oven stat will shut oven temp down too soon if using conventional heat eg no fan make sure there are no full size trays directly on bottom of oven this will block heat from bottom element effectively giving only half the heat output.

hope this helps
