Question about Lands Phones
I have a CEM-25 Series telephone controlled thermostat at my summer home and just cancelled telephone svc. Can I control it from a PC? I have a wireless Laptop PC with free internet access at the summer home and another Laptop that I take with me as I travel and also use WEBEX PC to remotely control any of my PC's. Is there an interface that I can use on my summer house PC that will emulate a telephone to my thermostat? It talks to me, but I only type in control codes.
$20 a year gets you a Magic Jack and you can either use the laptop or buy a desktop PC to plug in the device.
If you looked around, you might have found a lifeline service from the phone company for less money I'm just concerned that you won't be able to do anything, like reboot the PC in the event of a failure.

Testimonial: "Thank you Carl, I bought it at Radio Shack, simple to install and inexpensive too! The Magic Jack does exactly what I wanted it for. Thanks, Ray"
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
