When you fitted the tap, did you put a layer of putty around the base of the tap? This should be done to seal the base and water will not leak past

Does anyone have installation instructions fo a Bosch free standing dishwasher smu50E65au? Thanks. Julie

Hi Julie.
A dishwasher needs access to water numerous times during it's cycle. You'll have to have the hose on the tap with water pressure on while the machine is in operation. You could exchange your tap for one with thread or install a second one behind the current one.
(Slightly agricultural repair)
When installing a dishwasher the drain hose outlet MUST be above the water level in the machine or the water will run out as soon as it is put in...They usually connect to the S bend under the sink.
It would probably be best to have a handyman/plumber attend to the job.
Good luck

I have a vaillant eco pro 28 combi boiler. no constant hot water unless tap is on really low.

Oh some of these there was a small black heatexchanger just for hot water they some times block up . or it could be a blockage in the water section where it flows in .I know Valliant have a very good tech line and fitters who do house calls .

My Alpha 240E boiler does not heat water from the taps unless the radiators are on. I have been told this is because my boiler needs a new convertor valve, can I purchase a convertor valve and how wou

Its a diverter valve thats required not a converter as you state,it is not recomended to do it yourself ,you can get the valve easily from a reputable plumbers merchant ,alpha is a popular boiler, just supply the gas control no or boiler details to the merchant and the should be able to get the right divertor valve, then you just have to find a good plumber to fit it , it would be quicker and safer for some one qualified to change this.

I have a water leak that is coming from the bottom of motor seems like it is coming out by the oil pan towards the top, what is the cause of water leak? as sonn as i pour in water into radiator it leaks...

Look for a leaking freeze plug. That is a circular disk of metal that is inserted at several locations in the lower half of the engine block, usually. You may have to remove other parts to expose it adequately. It can be removed by tapping one side of it with a hammer and driving one side in, causing it to swivel in the hole, then pry it out. Get a replacement of the correct diameter from your auto parts store, and tap it back into the hole, first making sure the hole is clean a smooth. Be careful to tap all sides of the disk evenly, sometimes it is cup shaped. Tapping on a flat piece of metal covering the whole disk will sometimes be of help in keeping the plug straight in the hole.
The other possibility would be a crack in the engine block. That would require a replacement engine.

How can you fix a moving base of a tap on a sink, tried tighten it and still did not work.

Is it a conventional tap with the 3 pipes or just the one hole in the middle with a cover for the other holes in a replacement? Are the nuts on the bottom of the pipes? To tighten it up? Or did the plumber just put on the supply lines and hope that would work?? Check it out, I made a wrench out of a piece of 1 inch pvc schedule 80, cut a slot with the band saw on one side about 4 inches for the supply line, then cut out the other side about 1 inch for the wing on the nut. It worked perfect. I couldn't get up there to replace the faucet, and that wrench with the T-handle didn't do diddly. Check it out, see what he did under there and tighten it up. Hope this helps.

Baxi duotec is heating radiators but not tap water? Has been deteriorating for weeks. needs TWO taps turned on to get hot from one! powerflush help? been told its sludge in heat exchanger?

Sludge / furring possible in primary part but not if the ch & flow through hot tap are ok More likely it's the diverter valve. The rubber diaphragm inside is perished / holed. Replace
