Question about LG 42LC2D 42 in. LCD HDTV
There are 2 possibilities for no picture in an LCD TV.
Either back light inverter board failure or digital video signal processor failure.
Check at back of TV for white bright light coming out of any ventilation slot while TV is turned ON, if you see white light that means back light inverter board is working fine and producing back light.
If you do not find any light at back of TV as mentioned above, please point flash light on LCD screen of TV with different angels and try to observe faint image on screen, that will confirm that TV has lost back light and need to test back light inverter board.
Now if TV shows Menu on screen and has some sort of gray tone in screen that means digital signal processor is not working.
Qualified TV tech requires to replaced bad board in TV.
Let me know your finding to see what can be done more.
