Question about Micro Innovations IC200C Plus Webcam
On an older PC of that era it probably does not have a USB port. Those were not very common then. So you may have to add a USB port card inside the computer. That will also let you use any other usb device which is just about everything from cameras to printers these days. So if you need it you will be able to use it for more than just the web cam. Cost should be under $20
Your biggest concern may be finding drivers for everything. I would assume your machine is running Windows 98 or perhaps 2k Pro? These older OS will work with web cams but if it requires a driver there may not be one available. So when you go to buy your web cam check to make sure the web cam has the drivers. You might want to consider getting an older used web cam if you can't find anything. They tend to have drivers for the older operating systems.
I've done a few installs on older computers and they work just fine but you just have to do a bit more checking to makre sure you have all of the parts and drivers.
