Acer aspire 4743 not charging but all Okay.....

The solution to your problem lies in one of the following three areas:

1.) Your acer aspire 4743 charger is faulty and is therefore not able to pass power to your laptops battery.

2.) The charging connector on the laptop has come loose from the contacts. Therefore a bad connection.

3.) Your battery is faulty.

I think possibility 2 is the most likely, although you will have to test possibility 3 by removing the battery and plugging in your charger and seeing if the laptop powers on.If it does power on then that rules out possibility 1 and 2 leaving a faulty battery.

An other prolam i can not start window xp update in safe mode idid try diffrent way neither syestem restore let me do

restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell what file has been corrupted or missing then select restart if the problem still persists f8 back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode click start control panel administration tools computer management in the left panel events + to expand then system you will see all errors in right panel right click select properties this will tell you what has occurred and the time it occurred you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time click start all programs accessories system tools you should see your system restore option
hope this helps you

Hi. i bought my acer aspire 5583 3 years it suddenly can not be turned on... last 2 weeks i still can play it..but one week later when i came back from holiday...i found out sth wrong with my...

This is just a suggestion ... try removing the battery and turning the computer on with only the mains power lead attached.

Sometimes, as the battery dies, it does silly things with the computer.

If it works, order a new battery.

Hope this helps,

My aspire 5740 showes 81% available but not charging, checked all power lines etc on balanced power. Bought laptop 3 weeks ago till today it charged up

Dont be panic. Your laptop has absolutely no problem.Your manufacturer had set a 80-20 policy for the laptop battery charging such that the battery wont be charged to 100 percent but it will charged only upto 80 percent. The makers of the lap are doing this because to give good life to the battery. You can change it by going into the power options inside control panel.

Power cord isn't working for Acer 5720

I have had good success with this notebook universal power supply. Just make sure that the clip you need is included with the item. Or you could buy an OEM (original equipment manufacture) model.

Hope this helps.

Laptop suddenly shutsdown at startup

First disconnect anything connected to the laptop not necessary for booting.

Next, when you boot start slowly tapping F8 function key after the BIOS loads, but before you see anything that says Windows.

A menu should pop up. Select Last known good configuration that worked from the menu.

If it still reboots, use F8 to get to the startup menu and select Safe mode.

If you can get to the desktop now in Safe mode, try running a System Restore back to before the problem occurred.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and select System Restore.

Follow the prompts and select a bold date before the problem began. After the reboot the problem may be resolved, but you may have to re-install any recently added software.

If still no go, boot to the Windows CD and choose to run a repair.

Let me know if you need more help.

Acer Laptop Does not power ON At All!

Either the laptop has gone bad or the power supply has gone bad. You could buy a universal power supply at Best Buy, test your unit and then return the power supply. Not very moral thing to do but it will tell you if its the supply or the laptop. If it is the supply then you'll have a spare.
