The rear lift door on my 2002 Honda Odessey is locked and I can not get it open using either the remote or the key. Is there a way to release the lock?

It might be possible to grab the lock knob from inside the vehicle. Usually the panel would be removed but the door has to be opened may be able to get to it from just the top part of the panel.
Remove the Philips screws from the handle. There are 2 other screw/fasteners at the bottom but you cannot access them while the hatch is closed. The rest are all clips, about 22 in total around the outside edges of the bottom trim. The bottom trim is all you will be able to access from the inside. The sides and upper trim will have to stay. You may want to use gloves as the plastic trim can be sharp. Try to work in the area at the top and see if you can loosen the top clips enough to slide your hand around and pull up on the lock rod into the hole in the trim to unlock the hatch. Be careful not to damage the trim or injure yourself. Usually the lock rod is broken so unable to open..get a replacement from the dealer once verified..

talk with panel repair shops or car upholsterers as ford has a habit of using adhesive to stick it to the roof ( why they fall down) the edges are held in place by the plastic trim around the door opening so that has to be pulled down to get to the lining edges

I need to remove the rear seat drivers side interior panel on a 2001 VW Cabrio to replace a hydraulic line for the convertible top. I have already removed the rear seat bottom cushion, the two screws on...

There are clips around the edges that have to be pried off. You use the trim tool to feel for them. when you find one, place the edges of the tool around the outside of the clip and pry it up. Get a trim removal tool from a parts store and ease them out, then the panel will be loose. Remember to take out the screws for the arm rest. Good luck.

Replacing tail light bulb in a 1999 Lexus LS 400

Replacing a bulb on a Lexus is rather easy but a little involve. You can actually locate the wiring harness by removing the trim panels within your trunk. There are typically two cargo hooks that screw out found on either side of the trunk opening. Also, there are Christmas tree push pins found on the trim panels located on the the trunk sides and the upper part of the trunk.
Furthermore, there is a plastic trim panel along the inside front of the trunk that may need to be removed. Bottom line, remove as much as you need to in order to gain access to the tail light wiring harness.

All that is next is to find the appropriate light socket that holds the light that needs to be replaced. Carefully twist the light socket to the left and pull the light out of taillight. Then pull the light out of the socket and place the light back into the appropriate hole and twist to the right about a 1/2 to lock the socket in place.

Then, replace the trim panels, push pins and screws.

In most cases, you will only need to pull the trim panels back far enough to reach you hand in to replace the light.

Fuel lines

Line into tank isn't easy to pass. I made small hole in line near bottom, tied 30 pound fishing line to it (with knot inside of tube lumen), passed line through opening from above, and with fishing line pressure pulling gas line in, I squeezed tip of gas line entering tank from above with needle nose pliers until the line went into tank. Then i pulled excess through until i could trim tip (with knot) through gas tank opening, and then reversed line pull back into tank. Trim other end to fit onto primer exit port.

Driver side power window stopped working

The door panel is held on by plastic clips and 5 screws. 3 screws are on the bottom and 1 in the pull cup and 1 in the inner door handle. Then grab one of the corners and give a small tug, when you get some of the clips to pop out then proceed around the whole panel. To replace the panel take the clips out of the door with a fork and slide them back into the panel and then line it up on the door and use your hand like a hammer and bang the panel back on. Hope this helps
