Question about Garmin StreetPilot c550 GPS Receiver
I bought a used GPS c550 since 4 months through craigslist.com and it works for 4 months , yesterday when I try to switch it on it asks for a PIN which I dont have so pls, if any body could solve or guide to solve this problem..
I bought it for 150$ and use it cus I am a new comer to Canada; I still looking for a job so could not buy a new one; while I have a big family..
thanks in advance........REALLY IT IS NOT STOLEN.....
Your only options for unlocking a PIN locked Garmin are:
1 - Enter the correct PIN.
2 - Take the unit to the location at which the PIN was originally entered.
3 - Send the unit back to Garmin. If it IS stolen (if you bought it off craigslist.com, how do you know for sure it isn't?) it will be returned to the original owner and you will be out the money you spent. There is NO workaround this SECURITY feature.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

You probably just need to find the reciept where you bought the C550. Sounds like Garmin is protecting its customers when they say $300. This is most unfortunate thing to happen to you. Is the Garmin $300 issue as I thought and related to you not having the registration code or Reciept?
