Question about Epson C31C412144 Thermal Printer

Hello I am trying to get my M129h to print from my amigo POS it is in dire need for business tonight! Settings on printer are: The small switches under the DSWI panel located under the printer are set to: on then 2-8 on then 2-8 should these be changed and if so which ones? Settings on POS for this printer are: General: Generic/Text Only Letter/600 dpi Sharing: has current driver and is a shared printer but right now is connected for diagnostic purposes to just one pos atm Ports: COM4 Serial Port Generic/Text Only,bar2tm (name) Advanced: Always avail priority 1 Driver: Generic/Text Only Spool print doc so prog finishes print faster start print immed checked boxes: Print spooled docs first Enable adv printing features Print Processor: WintPrint Raw Printing Defaults: Portrait Front to back pages per sheet 1 Device Settings: Form to Tray assignment: Cont. Feed - No Break: Cut Sheet : Letter Cont. Feed - w Break: leter Printer Commands: Nothing entered except .01mill Font Selection US (ANSI) (1252) ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

Finally used the hardware trouble shooter in my POS software program. Disconnected all the connections to the printer, shut down the program and workstation. Plugged things back in and YEAH!

Not sure how you're removing the driver, but if you go to control panel device manager remove the printer totally as an option; reboot and then reload the printer. You also need to identify the remote printer in the print sequence or as your default printer in set-up (device manager). Hope this helps.

Unfortunately printing Cyrillic(Russian) is driver dependent and your application can only use generic/text driver.

SOURCE: Problem Printing Sheet Paper with the Epson 9800

On the machines control panel set to sheet fed (pressing the left button will change from Sheet, roll and roll with cut). In the print settings select your paper profile. On the page setup choose sheet. In the pull down menu you should only have basic paper sizes, no custom size. choose 20x30 and try again.

Try setting both switch 1-7 and 1-8 to ON for 38400 baud, set switch 1-2 to OFF to give a 4k buffer, set switch 2-5 to OFF to release the busy buffer at 256 bytes, set switches 2-3 and 2-4 to ON & OFF for medium print density and OFF & ON for dark print density or OFF & OFF for normal print density.

Also remember that the thermal TM-T88III also prints faster when the print head is cooler and slower when it heats up. The print speed is adjusted automatically depending on the voltage applied and head temperature. So make sure your power supply is providing a steady 24VDC at full load and has enough capacity to provide a peak of 7.7A in full speed mode. If you are using the printer in high temp and humidity you might want to swap the unit out for a Star Printer which performs faster and uses the same protocol or use a cooling fan.

Also make sure you use a good quality paper and that the humidity is within range at 10 – 90% RH although the paper performance will be greatly diminished at higher humidity levels.

We all as a canon printer consumer is needed to use Pro dot ink to refill. Please remove your cartridge and clean up the cartridge head tightly by soft/toilet paper and replace again. If it doesn't work clean it again and again... thanks

As far as I know, there is no way to change the font settings in CRE (I hope you mean RPE). But, you may be able to change the default settings in the printer itself to get larger print.
