Question about Computers & Internet
You have a very common problem with LCD monitors that are 2-3 years old. Because of heat buildup in the case parts called capacitors will blow causing the power supply to fail. If you can solder you should be able to repair it yourself. Go to our web page at :
www.ccl-la.com/badcaps.htm and look at the pictures of failed capacitors. Open you monitor and replace any that look like the pictures on the site. Be sure to install the new ones with the stripe on the side going the same way as the one you pull out and use a high temp replacement. You will see the values on the side of the parts you take out. Replacement caps can be ordered from us or other places on the internet. If you don't want to try the repair yourself we can do it for $35 + return shipping.
I hope this helps, If so please rate r solution.
