Question about Starbucks Saeco Italia Digital Barista Coffee Machine
The plastic rod that has 2 small hooks on the end and has ribs around the opposite end is your thumbscrew. There is suppose to be a small round nut that is molded into the position between the legs with the hooks. If you use the key to tighten the thumbscrew you will pull the nut out and then the thumbscrew will pop out of the brew head. Check the stem of the filter screen. If you have a item about that is about 3/8 of an inch long and has a grove in the middle and small bumps on it, that’s the nut. You need a new thumbscrew. Remove the old nut on the stem before putting it in the new thumbscrew. Remember it’s a thumbscrew, so it only needs to be finger tight. The key is for removing only.
