XP SP3 sends docs to print que but nothing prints
Open up your print queue. Cancel All jobs.
Go to the start menu
and either click on, or search for cmd. This will open the command
window. You also need to open your task manager.
In the task
manager, search for a process called spoolsv.exe, or if that doesn't
exist, find a process with "spool" in the name. This is your print
spooling process. Right click the process, and end it. You can close
the task manager now.
Next, go to the command prompt. Type "net
start spooler" without the quotes, and hit enter. This should restart
your spooling process. Close the command window, and try to print.
this doesn't work, you should check to make sure you're printing to the
correct printer. If it doesnt solve the problem, uninstall your current
printer (you may have to end the spoolsv.exe process again), and
reinstall the drivers for your particular model, which you can find at
the manufacturers website.
