Question about Everex StepNote VA4103M Notebook
I turn on my laptop and it starts up like normal. After just a fraction of a second the screen goes very dark. I can see faint images of white on the screen, but that's it.
Sounds like the back light on the LCD is going out or the invertor board is malfunctioning. In order to replace either you have to purchase the part and disassemle your lcd screen. I would suggest just purchasing the whole LCD panel and replacing it to be safe. If your system happens to be under warranty call tech support and have them replace it.

Sounds like the inventer or the backlight is failing, the inventer doesn't cost much to replace.
You must be outside of warranty to have this problem, I'm not fimiliar with the Evorex laptops, never seen one over here In finland, take it to a local professional for a checkup I'm sure they will also be able to provide you with the parts needed. Get a repair estimate first.

Tips for a great answer:
Apr 18, 2013 | Computers & Internet
The screen on your laptop goes black after every few seconds.
It resumes after a mouse-click or after a key-press.
Click on Start --> In search bar, type power options and press Enter.
"Select a power plan" window will be opened.
Click on "Change plan settings" next to "Balanced (recommended)".
In "Turn off the display", select "Never" from the drop-down menu under both the options "On battery" and "Plugged in".
Now click on "Save changes" button.
hope this helps
