Question about Toshiba Satellite M40-S417TD Notebook
My Toshiba Satellite M40 displays the following message "windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt:
It then suggests I can repair this file using the original setup CD ROM. I have the Product Recovery DVD-ROM supplied with the computer but the laptop doesn't access it. When I insert the DVD in the drive and reboot I get exactly the same message.
Go in the BIOS, in the boot sequence make your DVD player as the 1st number device to boot from, restart your machine and do follow the article (you should know the admin password to go into the system drive):
Note: If you are too overwhelmed then your Product recovery DVD will give you your original OS and all settings back.
