Cagiva mito engine trouble i split my engine in half to put a new set of main bearings in and an o ring droped out i havent a clue where it goes

SOURCE: cagiva solenoid

1. Battery Voltage. - Key off: between 12 - 13VDC.
2. Key off Amp Draw - At the main fuse: < (less than) 1ADC

3. Key on Amp Draw - At the main fuse: Results will vary because of different loads.
*Note - DO NOT START THE BIKE WITH YOUR METER IN PLACE OF THE MAIN FUSE! Also, if you can not access the main fuse, put your positive meter lead on the red wire at the solenoid, and put your negative meter lead on the positive battery lead. This way you will be able to get your amperage readings AND let you start the bike without blowing your fuse.* Charging amperage should be at least 1 ADC

4. Break even speed - The RPM in which the charging voltage at the battery turns positive - Should be before Idle

5. Charging voltage at the battery - Between 13 - 15 VDC.

how are you with taken things apart?? cause what you have a head of you is a job. NEVER just replace one part, you are already taken the whole thing apart might as will rebuild and make it right.

SOURCE: Toyota tercel 1988, engine knock. Replaced pistons rings and con rod brgs. Engine still has knock but not as survier. Has anybody changed main bearings with engine installed?

You will have to remove crank to replace and removing motor would be my suggestion...Would also suggest having the crank turned.......hope this info helps and good luck......please rate my post....

Cagiva mito 125 carb settings


Hi, Anonymous tuning your carburetor is fairly simple once you understand the basic principals. You engine is a simple airbox sucking air in and blowing it out, it is finely tuned at the factory for maximum performance once you upset that delicte balance by changing air filters, camshafts or exhaust systems your performance may go down the and the engine may run poorly, you need to compensate the air-fuel mixture in the carburetor in order for the engine to run smoothly and at peak performance. Here is how and where you compensate trouble:
1. Your air/fuel mixture screw manages your idle.
2.. Your slow speed jet manages 0-1/4 throttle opening.
3. Your jet needle c-clip position manages 1/4-3/4 throttle opening.
4. Your main jet manages 3/4-wide open throttle.
If you are running lean, spark plug electrode color is white, engine runs hot and feels like it is starving for fuel you need to go up on the jet size or move the c-clip down one notch. If you are running rich, spark plug color is black or dark gray, engine runs cool, and bogs down when accelerating you need to go down on jet size or move the c-clip up one notch. When your carburetor is properly tuned for maximum performance your spark plug electrode will be a light tan color like coffee with cream. If you prefer fuel economy over performance you can go down on main jet sizes until a satisfactory level of lower performance is acceptable versus MPH, your spark plug color will be whiter and your engine will run warmer. These tuning adjustments will only make improvements if your intake and exhaust system have no air leaks or sealing issues and the entire electrical system is in proper working order and you have no mechanical issues. Hi, Katymayjones tuning your carburetor is fairly simple once you understand the basic principals.
