Hi, the fluid in the tube has to be replaced, big & dirty job, set has to go to the shop to do this, be advised that this happens to all Philips rear projection tv`s eventually, problem is (besides being expensive to do) if the green fluid is getting cloudy the blue tube is not far behind. This can be confirmed by removing back bottom cover and looking directly into the lenses, you`ll see they are cloudy compared to the red one that almost never becomes cloudy, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, if you have more questions ask away, BMW Rider

Your convergence board is faulty. Common problem for this model. Pull the back cover off and look to the north and look for a jumper jack [1516 i beleive] and pull this off. [TV unplugged of course] Now plug in the tv and power up...If the picture is distorted you have bad convergence ICs. If picture is may a bad audio IC. You can do this, just be dang careful and good luck to you!

Green Haze in middle of TV, Words not sharp

The coolant in the chambers that are part of the CRTs(picture tubes) has been contaminated by foreign matter and the high temps created by the CRTs. The coolant can be replaced but its an expensive and time consuming operation. Some of the parts needed for this repair may also be no longer available. I'd start shopping.

Green dot in middile of my screen

The green dot in the center sounds like a burn mark on one or more of the picture tubes inside the set, and the curved lines are telling me that you have a problem in the convergence circuits. The blue haze around everything white tells me you either have a lot of dust build up on the lens over the CRTs, or your picture tube(s) are very weak. If this set is over about 12 years old, I would replace it. I doubt if you will be able to get the green dot out of the picture without changing the tubes which would be VERY expensive.
