How to remove rear brake drum on a toyota tazz 2004 model

3 methods: Sometimes you have to get to the adjusters from behind the drum, and turn the brake shoes inward, so the drum slides past them. Sometimes tricky to turn the adjuster wheel inside the drum (look for a rubber plug to remove and see the adjuster.) A couple of small screwdrivers will be needed, one to turn the adjuster wheel, and one to push a little clip away from the adjuster wheel so it can turn-tricky till you get the hang of it.
2. Best way to remove the drum, if your drum has two small drilled and threaded holes just out from the drum's center hole and opposite each othe on the drum-those holes are for drum removal. Find or buy two short bolts that will fit the holes and turn them in evenly. The bolts will contact the backing plate and force the drum outward. Usually you need to get it just moving a very little, then it will come off.
3. As a last resort, you can always heat the drum with a propane torch till the metal expands from the heat (15 minutes?). Tap it all around with a hammer, it should come free. Often what holds the drum fast is the center hole can have a rust build-up-sort of tacks itself to the center hub.

Hoover apollo supreme 5.0kg. Heating but drum not turning/rotating. The push start button was a little stiff so i gave it some wd40 and not works really well. turning on and heating but drum still not...

Check the workingg of the motor seperately to confirm if the motor is good. If so the fault is confirmed to be with the main switch- program control.
So trace using a multimeter to see the open connection. Make sure that the power plug is taken out when a continuity test is taken.

Drum turns and turns. only burns the kernals doesn't pop them

If the drum is turning, then it should work. Are you putting enough oil in the pot? Make sure you let it heat the oil for a little bit before adding the popcorn. If you dont have enough oil or heat it will not heat the kernals properly and burn them. You just need enough to cover the bottom of the pot an 1/8 inch so.

The drum turns, but the unit does not heat. How do I get inside to check the heating coils?

You need to take the top of the dryer off. Usually clips hold it on. Then remove the dryer drum. The drum usually sits on rollers and has a pulley on it that the belt from the motor is in. The heating coil sits in back of the drum. It looks like a piece of wire and is attached to the back of the dryer via little insulated blocks. If you can not see the heater broken, do a continuity check if you have access to a meter. It should NOT read open.

Whirlpool dryer WED5530SQ0, heats but does not run

So,. basically your drum doesnt turn. SO your getting heat still even though the drum isnt turning. Is this right? Sounds strange??? Do you hear any humming noise when you push the start button? I need to know a little more about the problem because im kinda confused as how you decribed the problem. Iv never seen a dryer heat but the drum not spinning. especially your model dryer. Its electric heat right? because if the drum doesnt spin, maybe your motor is bad. and if your motor is bad, then your heating element wont heat up because the centrifical switch in the motor is not switching to complete the circuit to the heating element. So this is why im confused when you said" Dryer heats when knob turned but when "push button" pressed, drum doesnt run." Because your belt wraps around the motor pully and the motor is what makes the drum turn. Like i said, i never seen this model dryer heat with out the motor operating. So if you can give me some more info, ill do my best to help you out....Thanks!!!!

if the drum is not turning its the belt its not hard but can be a pain for a beginner a repairman would charge at least 150 dollars to fix. It would only take him about ten minutes to do.

Motor not strong enough

The problem dosen't sound like the motor. Check to see if the drive belt is loose and slipping. This is the usual cause of the problem you describe. If not, the bearings for the drum may be going bad. The heating elements should turn off shortly if the drum stops so there is little danger of overheating.
