Hello vincent_i_fa,

No, the Alpine MRP-M500 is only stable down to 2 ohms.

Hope this helps.

How do i get my 2 4ohm dvc type r's to 2 ohms for my mrp m1000 to get the full power?

ok its all in the way you wire them, just remember when you wire your speakers in series, the ohms build(add to eachother) which would make them total of 8 ohms, and if you wire in parrallel the ohm load cuts in half (2 ohms). So you want to wire them together in parrallel then run your wire to the amp. Just so you know though, if you bridge your amp, it will also cut the ohm load in half, so you would see total of 1 ohm which gives you more power, just make sure your amp is 1 ohm stable and your subs can handle it.

Alpine MRP-T220 car amp. When I turn on the JVC stereo, the amp plays for a split second then dies. The power light stays on, and the fuses from the battery and the amp are fine. It always worked...

Yes your amplifier is stable @ 2OHM but only in stereo mode. If you are running the amplifier in BRIDGE mode then the amplifier is stable only @ 4OHM. So if you are running a sub woofer and it requires a 2 Ohm mono load then the amplifier has either been damaged or is trying to protect itself from the wrong OHM load. You could also make sure that your GND is secured properly, as some times it could come lose from vibration and not offer a decent ground for the system. dreamsystems.

About Power supply wires (MRP-M1000 only)

• 21mm2 is the minimum power and ground cable size

that should be used to connect this amplifier. The

length of these cables should not exceed 1m to assure

safe operation.

• If the length of the power and ground cables exceed

1m, or if you connect more than one amplifier, a distribution

block should be used with 33mm2 or 53mm2

power and ground cables depending on the length

necessary. Ensure that you install a correctly-rated

in-line fuse on the power cable near the battery positive

post.

I haw alpine mrp-m350 amplifier how many sub can i

Hook up the MRP-M350 to one 4-ohm sub, and you get 200 watts RMS; connect a second 4-ohm subwoofer and the power output increases to 350 watts! All that juice means that your subs won't just be loud, they'll sound clean and thumping.

and that's fine with the ohm load. But if you have them wired all together or in parrelel it changes the ohm load. You need to wire them all together in parreallel or in series to get the correct ohm load. Check the wiring diagram at www.the12volt.com to see what your options are. the mrp amps are at a 2 ohm load smallest stable so makesure they are wired above or right at

How to wire 2 ohm 2 12ich alpine type r's to box terminals?

Dual 4 ohm subwoofers can only be wired @ 1 ohm, 4 ohm or 8 ohm.
2 ohm mono load is not possible.
You will need to use (1) subwoofer to get the 1000W out of the amp.
Wire both positives on one sub to + on amplifier and both - on the same sub to - on amplifier to give the amplifier a 2 Ohm load.
Add a second amplifier, or buy an amplifier that is 1 ohm mono stable.
You can wire both to the amplifier at 4 ohms 600W, but they will share the power and only see 300W ea.

How many speakers can I use?

Hi,
This should work if channel 3 & 4 are bridged at 4 ohm.
channel 1 should be stable at 2ohm
channel 2 should be stable at 2 ohm
You can hook up the right side speakers together ( + with + and - with - ) . same thing with the left side. this will give you 2 ohm each channel. this will cause your amp to run hot (this might be tuff on the amp). It will give you right (2 speakers) and left ( 2 speakers ), no front and rear adjustement if you need to balance your sound. I think you should be better buying another amp for your sub and take your 4 channels for your 4 car speakers. this amp as a rca output that can feed the other amp ( sub amp ). it is possible to do it.

Good luck

You can't wire a pair of single voice coil 2ohm subs to achieve a 2 ohm mono load. Too bad you don't have 2 four ohm SVC's. Sorry
