Does the sound seem to be coming from the right rear of the set? It could be the inverter board is arcing when trying to turn on the backlights, likely a bad solder connection on one of the transformers (a very common problem) This would sound like a buzzing, or a arcing sound. If it is coming from the speakers it could be a power supply problem.

Hi! Thank-you so much! Yes; it is coming from the right rear seems like lower area of the tv. It makes such a loud buzzing sound that I have to turn it off, because I cannot take the noise. I have a black screen of death & no sound. Before this happened, I had noticed for probably years that I had horizontal lines on the top & buttom of the picture. Don't know if this was a sign that it was going to go out soon. This tv I bought at sears years ago, for around $800.00. Do you think this is an easy fix if I should call someone. I am a female & don't want to foul with it. What do you think it could cost me to fix it. Also; my brother may be able to fix it; he is familar with electronics. The tv looks like new yet & would hate to get rid of it.

Panasonic TX-P50G20B how do I fix a buzzing noise coming from the central circuit board on the back of the tv

Buzzing noises come from transformers.. use a plastic pen to push down on each transformer in turn to find which one it is, then replace it.
no end of glue or resin or anything can stop the buzzing so just replace it..
good luck !

Samsung model HLP4663WX/XAA with loud buzzing noise, need to know which part to replace.

See attached photo: you have a bad color wheel----it turns at about 12,000 rpm and bearings in the tiny motor go bad.

High pitched or fan like sound is classic symptom.

The wheel is available on the internet and You Tube has video instructions by model number for replacing it---Google the model number for the part number for your set to locate the part and instructions.

This for most people is a do it yourself job---takes like 45 minutes start to finish.

If color wheel slows too much set will shut down as its speed is monitored and the wheel can even shatter causing shutdown of the set.

Buzzing

If it is a buzzing noise, it is the Ballast for the lamp.
If it is more of a grinding sound, it is the Color Wheel motor.
Does it go away when you turn off the tv? If so, does it stop abruptly or does the sound tend to get softer (winding down noise)
If the noise stops abruptly it is probably the Ballast.
If the noise takes several seconds and seems to get softer until it stops about 30 sec later then it is the color wheel motor.

I blew condensed air through the ventilation holes in the back of the TV, which greatly reduced the buzzing noise.

A loud intermitant buzzing coming from the back of the fridge

either the noise is coming form he ice maker fill valve( but if its of and still aking noise i doubt it. it also possible that the noise is coming from the compressor itself, overheating nad trying to restart in which case would give a slight "buzz" noise for 5secs or so then "click" off, and wait maybe 3 min to restart again. look for melted ice andperhaps your ice dream ont as hard as it should be???

Toshiba 36zp18q buzzing noise.

Humming sounds come from the power supply and buzzing sounds come from other circuitry. Most likely a capacitor somewhere.

TV wont turn on, makes buzzing noise and shuts off

I have two RCA HD52W59 TV's. I have had one for 3 years and one 4 years. The one I have had for 4 years is giving me the problem. Last week the tv turned off while watching it. It wouldnt come right back on. 10 minutes later we tried and it worked fine. the other night the kids were watching and it turned off and smelled like something burning. I tried turning it right back on and got no power at all. I tried to turn it on two days later and it made a buzzing noise and the green light went out. Never did get a picture, no powering up on the screen. Any ideas? Don't want to spend alot of money. Really loved the TV hope it isnt junk now. Better yet I hope the same thing doesnt happen to the other one I have.

Loud buzzing noise when turning on

It sounds like a bad internal connection or a component failing. If the picture still is very good take it to a known good repair shop.
