Question about Toshiba Satellite Pro L350-S1701 Notebook
Have you tired uninstalling and reinstalling the camera from Device Manager? Do this and then restart your computer, this will automatically detect and reinstall the drivers for the camera.
I suspect your camera may be failing though as you mentioned previously that it installs sometimes while you're using the computer. If uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't work, you may have to take this in to a repair center. If your camera isn't showing up in device manager, but you have some unknown devices, you may need to update the software from the Toshiba site.
Alternatively you can reinstall the software from a folder called Tosapins which is located on your C: drive. Should be under the heading Chicony camera assistant for Toshiba.
Unfortunately most Toshiba warranties don't cover machines sold by auction. If you want further clarification, your warranty T&C should be available for download from the Toshiba site.

Remove the webcam driver and then clean the registry using something like Ashampoo (free use for 30 days from www.ashampoo.com) then reboot the laptop. Download the updated driver from Toshiba at
Install it and then reboot.
All should now be OK.

everytime i have seen that it is not software related. check if it is under warranty. typically it is the webcam cable that fails.

1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. Click Control Panel, System and Maintenance and then Device Manager.
3. Right-click on Chicony USB 2.0 Camera and select Update Driver Software. A yellow exclamation point indicates that the camera is recognized by Windows but is not working properly, probably because of problem with the device driver
4. Select Browse my computer for the driver software.
5. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
6. Select USB Video Device from the list, and click Next.
7. If the message “Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device” appears, click Close.
8. Restart Windows.
The webcam should now work properly.
